An engraver like his father, Roland Baptiste is at the service of people who want to learn to engrave using both traditional and modern techniques.
A graduate of the Liège Armoury School since 1993 and holder of the Certificat d’Aptitude Pédagogique (CAP), Roland Baptiste offers the rare opportunity to use the Palmcontrol and Classique airgraver in Europe.

Students are welcomed one by one to ensure the most personalised learning experience.
On request, two students can be taught simultaneously at a reduced cost.
Unlike other courses, the course programme adapts to the learning progress of each student, so you are not limited to a pre-determined programme and techniques.
This has the advantage of not slowing down the discovery of techniques and also of avoiding an accumulation of weeks necessary to satisfy the student’s curiosity and expectations.
All the techniques of engraving and artistic composition can be approached without
without restriction during the course.
You will work in optimal conditions. You will be directly corrected by a camera placed on the binocular.
The course lasts 5 days and costs €1,900 excluding tax.
Lunch will be taken at Roland’s home.
Course times are from 8.00 am to 4.30 pm.
Course sessions are by appointment only, on dates that are most convenient for trainees.
There is a very pleasant hotel nearby (https://www.hotelverviers.be) as well as several restaurants.

Digital versions in English and French are available for sale by email at info@rbaptiste.com for €72.60.Students taking part in the course will receive a digital pack free of charge.
This book is essentially technical and educational.
It contains 160 illustrated pages.
“With this book (in PDF format), I wanted to share my techniques and methods of creation and production so that everyone can appreciate the true value of the work of the engraver.
I wanted to make a DVD to complement the book with visuals and learn the right hand gestures.”
If you’d like to see for yourself what I’ve been working on, come and visit me in the studio, whether out of curiosity or interest. You’ll always be welcome by appointment.
I look forward to meeting you.
